George Legrady

George Legrady is distinguished professor of Digital Media and directs the Experimental Visualization Lab. He is former chair of the Media Arts & Technology (2013-2017) graduate program at UC Santa Barbara. He recently held a Visiting Professional Fellowship at the Centre for Interactive Cinema at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and also a Visiting Scholar position in the Diaspora Lab at the Institut des Mines-Télécom, Paris, France. Previous to UCSB, he directed the digital media graduate program at the Merz Akademie for Visual Communication in Stuttgart, co-directed the Information Arts/Conceptual Design program at the San Francisco State University, photography faculty in the Visual Arts dept. at the University of Southern California, visiting faculty at the California Institute for the Arts, and faculty in photography at the University of Western Ontario.

Lena Mathew

Lena Mathew's Art / Science research focuses on "visual evoked potentials" (VEP) in our brainwaves based on collected EEG data. She is the initiator of the annual Alliance of Women in Media Arts and Sciences (AWMAS), an organization launched at UCSB in 2017 to empower women to succeed in STEM, with special emphasis on media arts, technology and engineering.

Associate Professor in the Computational Media Department at University of California, Santa Cruz, where he directs the UCSC Creative Coding Lab. His research investigates novel techniques for visualizing and interacting with complex scientific information. Active in IEEE Vis Arts program, and ACM SIGGRAPH. Papers published in VIS, UIST, SIGGRAPH, CSCW, MM, NIME, ISMAR, SIGSPATIAL, EuroVis, TVCG, CG&A, CGF, BMC Bioinformatics, Brain Informatics, Human Brain Mapping, Leonardo, and others. Research funded through federal grants from NIH, NSF, and DARPA, as well as through corporate grants from Keysight Technologies and Epic Games.

Andres Burbano is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Design at the Universidad de los Andes, Bogota, Colombia. Active in IEEE Vis Arts program, and ACM SIGGRAPH curation.
